Together with the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and the MBA program, EXCON is organising and promoting the new technology summit: „Maintech Start-up Summit“. The aim is to offer the numerous young, innovative, and up-and-coming minds a suitable platform to present and market their business ideas in the form of an award ceremony. In addition to the prizes of € 4,000, € 2,000 and € 1,000 for the three best business models and presentations, all the competition finalists gain the opportunity to present their ideas to interested employers and investors.

The first Maintech Start-up Summit was held in October 2017. At this elevator pitch, teams of entrepreneurs presented their disruptive FinTech-, InsurTech- or LawTech ideas to a selected jury. The winner was BlockSource, a young start-up that elaborated a system based on a blockchain solution to trace legal firearms.

All the students of the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management are eligible to apply for the next Summit in 2019. Ideas are to be submitted in German or English as a business plan that analyses the product, its innovative strength, its potential market, and current competitors.
